Introduction
Chinese – made lawn mowers have gained popularity for their quality and affordability. Here are some essential operating tips to ensure you get the most out of your machine.
Pre – operation Checks
Before starting your lawn mower, conduct a thorough inspection. Check the oil level and refill if necessary. Inspect the blade for any signs of damage or dullness. A sharp blade ensures a clean cut and reduces stress on the engine.
Starting the Mower
For electric lawn mowers, simply plug it in and turn on the switch. For gas – powered ones, prime the engine according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Then, pull the starter cord gently a few times before giving it a firm pull to start the engine.
Mowing Techniques
Maintain a steady pace while mowing. Avoid rushing, as this can lead to an uneven cut. Overlap each pass slightly to ensure no grass is missed. Also, adjust the cutting height based on the type of grass and its growth stage.
Post – operation Care
After mowing, turn off the mower and unplug it if it’s electric. Clean the underside of the mower to remove grass clippings and debris. Store the mower in a dry place to prevent rust and damage.
