Introduction

Chinese – made lawn mowers are known for their high – quality, durability, and cost – effectiveness. Here are some useful operating tips to ensure you get the most out of your lawn mower.

Pre – operation Checks

Before starting the lawn mower, check the oil level. Just like a car, a lawn mower needs sufficient oil for smooth operation. A dipstick is usually provided for this purpose. Also, check the fuel level. Fill it with the appropriate fuel as recommended in the user manual.

Inspect the cutting blade. Make sure it is sharp and not damaged. A dull blade can tear the grass instead of cutting it cleanly, which is bad for the lawn’s health.

Operating the Lawn Mower

When starting the lawn mower, follow the correct starting procedure. Most modern Chinese – made lawn mowers have an easy – start system. Pull the starter cord gently until you feel resistance, then give it a quick, firm pull.

While mowing, maintain a steady walking pace. Don’t rush through the lawn. This ensures an even cut. Walk in straight lines for a neat and professional – looking finish. If your lawn has obstacles like trees or flower beds, mow around them carefully.

Post – operation Maintenance

After mowing, turn off the lawn mower and let it cool down. Empty the grass catcher if your mower has one. This prevents the build – up of damp grass, which can cause rust.

Clean the underside of the mower deck. Grass clippings can accumulate there and affect the mower’s performance. You can use a brush or a hose to clean it.

Storage

If you’re not going to use the lawn mower for an extended period, store it properly. Drain the fuel to prevent it from deteriorating and causing problems. Store the mower in a dry, cool place to avoid rust and other damage.
