Introduction
Chinese – made lawn mowers have gained popularity worldwide for their quality and affordability. Here are some essential operating tips to ensure you get the most out of your machine.
Pre – operation Checks
Before starting your lawn mower, check the oil level. Low oil can damage the engine. Also, inspect the spark plug for any signs of wear or dirt. A clean and properly functioning spark plug is crucial for ignition. Check the cutting blades as well. Make sure they are sharp and not loose. Dull blades can tear the grass instead of cutting it cleanly.
During Operation
When mowing, walk at a steady pace. Don’t rush through the job. This ensures an even cut. Overlap your mowing paths slightly to avoid leaving uncut strips of grass. Be aware of your surroundings. Remove any obstacles like stones, toys, or branches from the lawn before you start. These can damage the mower or be thrown out, causing injury.
Post – operation Maintenance
After you finish mowing, turn off the engine and let it cool down. Empty the grass catcher if your mower has one. Clean the undercarriage of the mower to prevent grass buildup, which can rust the metal parts. Store the mower in a dry place to protect it from the elements.
