Introduction

Chinese – made lawn mowers are known for their reliability and cost – effectiveness. Here are some useful operating tips to help you get the most out of your lawn mower.

Pre – operation Checks

Before starting the lawn mower, check the fuel level. If it’s a gasoline – powered mower, make sure there is enough gas. Also, check the oil level in the engine. Low oil can cause damage to the engine.

Inspect the blades. A sharp blade cuts grass cleanly, which is better for the health of your lawn. If the blades are dull, sharpen or replace them.

Starting the Mower

For a manual – start mower, pull the starter cord smoothly and steadily. Don’t yank it forcefully. If it’s an electric mower, simply plug it in and turn on the switch.

Mowing Techniques

Adjust the cutting height according to the type of grass and the season. In general, don’t cut more than one – third of the grass blade at a time. This helps the grass stay healthy.

Mow in different directions each time. This prevents the grass from leaning in one direction and gives a more even cut.

Post – operation Maintenance

After mowing, clean the lawn mower. Remove any grass clippings from the blades and the underside of the mower. This helps prevent rust and keeps the mower working well.

Store the mower in a dry place. If it’s a gasoline – powered mower, drain the fuel if it won’t be used for a long time.
