Introduction

Chinese-made lawn mowers have gained popularity for their quality and affordability. Here are some essential operating tips to ensure you get the most out of your machine.

Pre – operation Checks

Before starting the lawn mower, check the oil level. Insufficient oil can damage the engine. Also, examine the blades for sharpness and any signs of damage. A dull blade will not cut the grass cleanly, leaving it ragged and more prone to disease. Additionally, ensure the grass bag or mulching attachment is properly installed.

Starting the Lawn Mower

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for starting. Most Chinese – made lawn mowers have a simple pull – start mechanism. Prime the engine if required, and then pull the starter cord steadily. Avoid yanking it forcefully, as this can cause damage to the starter system.

Mowing Techniques

When mowing, walk at a steady pace. Do not rush, as this can lead to uneven cutting. Overlap each pass slightly to ensure all the grass is cut. For a neater look, change the mowing direction each time you mow. This helps prevent the grass from leaning in one direction and promotes more upright growth.

Post – operation Maintenance

After mowing, turn off the engine and let it cool down. Empty the grass bag or clean the mulching chamber. Remove any grass clippings from the underside of the mower deck. This prevents rust and keeps the mower in good working condition. Regularly sharpen the blades and change the oil as recommended by the manufacturer.
