Introduction
Chinese-made lawn mowers have gained popularity worldwide for their quality and affordability. Here are some useful operating tips to ensure you get the most out of your lawn mower.
Pre – operation Checks
Before starting the lawn mower, check the fuel level. Most Chinese lawn mowers have clear fuel indicators. Also, inspect the oil level. Low oil can damage the engine. Examine the blades for any signs of wear or damage. Dull blades can tear the grass instead of cutting it cleanly.
Starting the Lawn Mower
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for starting. Usually, you need to set the choke properly. For cold starts, a closed choke is often required. After the engine warms up, gradually open the choke. Pull the starter cord smoothly and steadily.
During Operation
Mow at a consistent speed. Don’t rush through the lawn. This ensures an even cut. Keep the mower on a flat and stable surface as much as possible. Avoid mowing on wet grass as it can clog the mower and make the operation more dangerous.
Post – operation Maintenance
After mowing, turn off the engine and let it cool down. Empty the grass catcher if your mower has one. Clean the underside of the mower to prevent grass buildup, which can affect the performance. Regularly sharpen or replace the blades for a better cutting result.
