Chinese-made lawn mowers have gained popularity for their quality and affordability. Here are some essential operating tips to make the most of your lawn mower.

Pre – operation Checks

Before starting your lawn mower, it’s crucial to conduct a thorough inspection. Check the oil level; running the mower with low oil can cause engine damage. Also, examine the air filter. A clogged filter restricts airflow, reducing the mower’s performance. In addition, make sure the blades are sharp. Dull blades tear the grass instead of cutting it cleanly, leading to a less healthy lawn.

Starting the Mower

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for starting your Chinese – made lawn mower. Usually, it involves setting the choke, pulling the starter cord, and then adjusting the choke as the engine warms up. Avoid yanking the cord too hard, as it can damage the starter mechanism.

Mowing Techniques

When mowing, maintain a steady pace. Don’t rush through the job, as it can result in an uneven cut. Vary your mowing pattern each time you mow. This prevents the grass from leaning in one direction and promotes more even growth. Also, don’t cut the grass too short. A general rule is to never remove more than one – third of the grass blade’s length at a time.

Post – operation Care

After mowing, turn off the mower and let it cool down. Empty the grass catcher to prevent it from clogging. Clean the underside of the mower deck to remove grass clippings and debris, which can rust the deck over time. Store the mower in a dry place to protect it from the elements.
