Introduction

Chinese – made lawn mowers have gained popularity worldwide due to their high – quality and cost – effectiveness. Here are some essential operating tips to help you get the most out of your lawn mower.

Pre – operation Checks

Before starting your lawn mower, check the oil level. If it’s low, refill it with the recommended oil type. Also, examine the air filter. A dirty filter can reduce engine performance. Clean or replace it if necessary. Check the spark plug for wear and tear, and make sure the blade is sharp and properly tightened.

Proper Mowing Techniques

Set the cutting height according to the grass type and season. For most grass, a height of 2 – 3 inches is ideal. Mow in a straight line for a more even cut. Overlap each pass slightly to avoid missed patches. Don’t cut more than one – third of the grass blade at a time, as this can stress the grass and make it more susceptible to diseases.

Maintenance During Operation

Empty the grass catcher regularly. A full catcher can block the airflow and reduce the mower’s efficiency. If you’re mowing a large area, take breaks to let the engine cool down. Listen for any unusual noises, which could indicate a problem with the mower.

Post – operation Care

After mowing, turn off the engine and wait for it to cool completely. Clean the underside of the mower deck to prevent grass buildup, which can cause rust. Store the mower in a dry place, and if it won’t be used for an extended period, drain the fuel to prevent carburetor issues.
