Wheels and Deck

Check the wheels for proper inflation and mobility. The mower deck should be free from debris and any blockages that could affect the cutting performance.

Operation

Starting

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to start the lawn mower. Usually, it involves setting the choke, pulling the starter cord steadily, and adjusting the throttle.

Cutting Height

Adjust the cutting height according to the type of grass and the desired lawn length. A good rule of thumb is not to cut more than one – third of the grass blade at a time.

Mowing Pattern

Vary your mowing pattern each time you mow. This helps prevent soil compaction and promotes even growth of the grass.

Post – operation

Shutting Down

Once you’re done mowing, turn off the engine following the correct procedure. Let the engine cool down before storing the mower.

Cleaning

Clean the mower deck, blades, and wheels to remove grass clippings and dirt. This helps prevent rust and keeps the mower in good condition.

Store the lawn mower in a dry and sheltered place. If you’re not going to use it for an extended period, drain the fuel to avoid carburetor issues.
