Introduction
Chinese-made lawn mowers have gained popularity for their high – quality and cost – effectiveness. To make the most of your lawn mower, here are some essential operating tips.
Pre – operation Checks
Before starting the lawn mower, conduct a thorough inspection. Check the oil level; insufficient oil can cause engine damage. Also, examine the fuel tank and ensure it has enough gasoline. Inspect the blades for sharpness and any signs of damage. Dull or damaged blades won’t cut the grass evenly.
Proper Starting
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for starting. Usually, you need to set the choke correctly. For cold starts, close the choke, and after the engine warms up, gradually open it. Pull the starter cord smoothly and steadily.
Mowing Techniques
Adjust the cutting height according to the grass type and season. For example, in summer, keep the grass a bit longer to protect the roots from heat. Mow in straight lines and overlap slightly to ensure even cutting. Don’t cut more than one – third of the grass height at a time to avoid stressing the grass.
Post – operation Maintenance
After mowing, turn off the engine and let it cool down. Clean the mower to remove grass clippings and debris. Sharpen or replace the blades regularly. Store the lawn mower in a dry place to prevent rust and damage.
